Noudifoulè Tchala is a research assistant at the Togolese Agricultural Research Institute “Institut Togolais de Recherche Agronomique” (ITRA). He obtained his diploma in Agricultural Engineering in 2008. In 2009, he joined the of maize breeding programme at ITRA and since then he has been working as a research assistant. Tchala did his Master in Plant protection and plant breeding at University of Ouagadougou in 2013. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the West Africa Center for Crop Improvement (WACCI) with his research titled: Molecular characterization of extra-early provitamin A maize inbreds and evaluation of their performance in hybrid combinations under drought stress and Striga infestation. He hopes his research would to contribute resolving current malnutrition problem in Africa.
