WACCI International Conference on Food and Nutrition Security in Africa

The West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) is organizing its first international conference in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the University of Ghana. The overall objective of the conference is to bring together researchers and students from Africa and other parts of the world, working on various research components in Agriculture to discuss research outcomes and establish collaborative partnerships in transforming Africa's agriculture towards improving the livelihood of smallholder farmers. The conference will host keynote and plenary speakers from regional and international institutions.

Topical issues to be discussed fall under five thematic sessions:

  • Tree Crops Improvement & Value Chains
  • Biotechnology
  • Seeds & Postharvest Management Systems
  • Nutrition Security & Food Safety
